Anne Roper Dellinger, 83, passed away peacefully at St. Francis hospital on October 9, 2014 with her children at her bedside. She was a true and gracious Southern lady, loving wife and mother, and will be deeply missed by her family.

Anne was born in 1931 in Travelers Rest, SC to the late Lillian and Augustus Roper. A lifelong Greenville resident, she attended Greenville area schools and Furman University. She was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church. Anne was married to Dr. Lester Earle Dellinger for 61 years, until his death in 2011.

She is survived by her son, Steven W. Dellinger of Greenville, SC, and daughters Patricia Anne Maranda of Aiken SC; Mary K. Dellinger of Austin, TX; Laura Dellinger Kabel of Raleigh, NC; and Leslie E. Dellinger of Acton, MA., seven grandchildren: Caleb, Nathan and Meghan Haney of Aiken, SC, Alison Haney of Taos, NM, Whitney Kabel of Sydney, Australia, Alexandra Kabel of Wilmington, NC, Ellie Martin of Acton, MA., and two great-grandchildren, John Barber of Los Vegas, NV and Araceli Heron of Taos, NM.
In addition to her loving husband, she was preceded in death by her five siblings.

The family would like to thank our lifelong friend, Joni Johnson Thomas, for her loving support as well as the dedicated caregivers at St. Francis Hospital who assisted Anne on her final journey.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon on Tuesday, October 14 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 111 Hampton Avenue Greenville, South Carolina 29601 Greenville. The family will receive friends an hour prior to Mass, also at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
The family has entrusted Graceland Mortuary to assist them in their time of need.
