Annie Ruth Blackwell, 88, native of Mauldin, SC, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at her home. She was the only child of the late Helen and Biemon Taylor.

Annie is survived by her loving husband, Donald R. Blackwell; sons, David (Joni) and Mark (Kim) Blackwell; grandchildren: Jake Blackwell, Scarrlet Blackwell, and Sarah Smith (Chatorio); and great-grandchildren: Jayden, Micah, and Ezra Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, John.

Annie spent most of her life in Mauldin with her family whom she dearly loved. She and her husband traveled to 46 of the 48 continental states and made it to Europe a time or two. Annie was trained as an x-ray technician and returned to work for nearly 25 years after her children were grown. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling and playing golf, but in her later years her family was her greatest joy. She touched many lives and will never be forgotten.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 11:00 AM Friday, October 18, 2024 at Graceland Mortuary, 4814 White Horse Rd., Greenville, SC 29611. Committal and burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery West.
