Arnold Lee Darnell, 86, of Greenville, passed away on December 09, 2020, at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born August 30, 1934 to the late Harrison Darnell and Matilda Darnell. He was one of 16 children.

Arnold was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a simple man that loved to fish, believed in hard work, and spending time with his family. He served in the US Army from 1958 to 1964. He was in the Hell on Wheels Tank Battalion, while in Germany from 1958 to 1960. He was stationed on the same base with Elvis Presley. After he was honorably discharged from the Army, he went to work for John D. Hollingsworth on Wheels. He was a loyal employee for 46 years. Arnold received Christ as his Savior on April 02, 2011.

Arnold is survived by his three children: Donna Porter (Brad), Barry Darnell (Kimberly), and Darryl Darnell (Hyland); four grandchildren: Colby Porter (Niki), Kelsey Belandria (Italo), Mackenzie Darnell, and Benjamin Darnell; one great grandchild Hazel Porter, and two brothers Carol Darnell and Blayne Darnell.

In addition to his parents, Arnold is preceded in death by 13 siblings, the children's mother Hazel Darnell, and Audrey Waddell- his longtime companion.

Graveside Service will be held on Monday, December 14 ^th at 11 am on the grounds of Graceland Cemetery- WEST.
