Carolyn Jeanette Holcomb, 73, of Pelzer, SC, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024 after a brave, hard-fought battle with COPD. Born in Greenville, SC to the late Janie Mae and Thomas B Roach, she graduated from Hollis High School before enjoying a long career in textiles with first Dunean Mill in Greenville, SC and then Fabrical in Piedmont, SC.

Carolyn is survived by her son, Tommy Gene Holcomb; daughter, Lynn Duncan (John); grandchildren, Joshua and Matthew; sisters, Sarah Stickels (Michael) and Kathryn Lynn; brothers, Troy Roach and Ted Roach (Crystal); her heart and Yorkie canine companion, Zoey; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia "Tonett" Holcomb; and brother, Terry Roach.

Carolyn was a long-time member of First Freewill Baptist Church of Greenville, SC and could often be found reading her bible. She would do anything to help anybody and everybody she met loved her. When she wasn't working, she enjoyed tending her yard and occasional travels to the beach. Her family, especially her grandchildren, were her world. She touched many lives and will be deeply missed and dearly remembered.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Graceland Mortuary, 4814 White Horse Rd., Greenville, SC 29611. Her family will receive friends and loved ones an hour prior, beginning 12:00 PM.
