Dakota Christine Smith Sloan, 92 of Greer passed away Monday, May 14, 2018.  She was a daughter of the late Julius and Hazel Ward Smith and the wife of the late William Coolidge Sloan. She worked in the accounting department of Caligor (Henry Schein) for 34 years and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are three nieces, Teresa Porter (Kerry), Patricia McElreath Kenny and Ann Burkhart (Ron); three nephews, Wendell Smith (Melinda), Eric Smith (Renee), and Dennis Smith; three great-nieces, five great-nephews, six great-great nieces and three great-great nephews.  She was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Adolph, Lee Vernon, and Charles Rice Smith, and one great-niece, Stephany Grace Porter.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the chapel of the Graceland Mortuary.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until service time at the Graceland Mortuary. Interment will follow services at Graceland Cemetery-WEST.
