On Nov. 21, 2009, God called Mrs. Cynthia Mae Drummond home to eternal rest. Mrs. Drummond of 6 Booker Alley, was born in Earlybranch, SC on Feb. 24, 1925 to John and Janie Rodde. She resided at Magnolia Manor of Greenville for 3 years and spent her last days at the McCall Hospice House. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was also a member of Mount Emmanuel Baptist Church, the Jitterbug Club, and Within Reach Choir. Mrs. Drummond was preceded in death by her loving husband Moorefield Drummond. She leaves many fond memories to cherish to her sister Nella Caldwell; two daughters: Freddie (Noah) Lomax and Shelia Drummond; five sons: Theodore (Stephanie) Drummond, George (Doretha) Drummond, Johnny (Sheila Gamble) Drummond, Clyde (Gwendolyn) Drummond, Ricky Drummond; 31 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. The viewing will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009 at Graceland Mortuary from 7 until 8 pm. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009 at Mount Emmanuel Baptist Church at 1 pm.
