Senior Airman, David Wayne Giles, 54, of Greenville, SC, passed away on June 5th, 2022, after an arduous battle with lung cancer. He will be missed by all who knew him.
David was born on May 24th to Jaqueline and Charles in Maryland, David was a rambunctious and witty boy. Who grew into brilliant and talented young man known for his dry humor, beautiful art, and dedication to his family.
After graduating from Mauldin High School in 1986, he joined the air force where he received numerous awards, ribbons, and badges for his service as SRA working in avionics guidance and as a control system specialist.
After serving, he met Shannon Radford and fell in love in 1992.He was a great stepfather to Nicole before becoming a wonderful father to Jamie and Celeste.
In his free time, David enjoyed the pursuit of knowledge, gardening, hiking, fishing, and reptiles.
David was predeceased by his father and grandmother. He is survived by his daughters, 6 grandchildren, mother, and sister. Services will be held at Graceland East Memorial Park on June 10th at 11 am followed by celebration of life in his honor.
