David Joel Lewallen 68, of Greenville, Formerly of Greer went to be with His Lord and Savior Saturday August 16, 2014. He was a son of Mildred (Hampton) and the late John H. Lewallen. Raised in Greer, David attended Greer High School during that time he met Ms. Sharon P. Crawford at the Greer Theater, she became his Sweetheart and soon after his beloved Wife of 50 years. With their union in marriage they welcomed three loving children. He Loved spending time with his family, especially hunting and fishing with his boys. Some of David's proudest family moments were the births of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His faith guided him through out his life, he was proud to assist at his church, Trinity Way Baptist Church and working in the Trinity Way Blessing House, he was also a Past Master of Taylors Masonic Lodge # 345.
In addition to his Mother and Wife, David is also survived by his Children, sons; Billy and his wife Amy, Michael and his wife Sherry Lewallen, a daughter; Tracy and husband Trenton Brown, his grandchildren include, grandsons; Curt and his wife Danielle Lewallen, Taylor Lewallen and Trenton Brown, Jr. granddaughters; Lauren Lewallen, Leiane and her husband Brandon Philyaw, Cortney Lewallen and Trena Brown, great-grandchildren include, Jaiden & Mason Philyaw.
A Visitation for Family and friends will be held from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Wednesday August 20, 2014 with Funeral Services being held at 2:00pm Thursday August 21, 2014 in the Chapel of The Graceland Mortuary.
