Donnie Ray long Sr., 61, of 135 Edens Rd. passed away on Saturday January 28, 2012. He was born in Pelion, SC and is the son of the late Homer David and Letha Fallaw Long Sr. He is also the husband of Mary Spires Long of the home.
Before retiring in 2011, he was employed with Westminster Inc. as a Maintenance Tech. He is also of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children: Donnie Ray Long Jr. (Alicia) of Greensboro, NC, Gene McLaughlin Jr. (Kim Langdon) of Gilbert, SC, and Wanda Tipton of Lincolnton, NC; two brothers: Homer David Long Jr. (Mary) and T.J. Long (Rita) all of Gaston, SC; seven grandchildren and numerous relatives.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday February 2, 2012 at 2 PM in the chapel of Graceland Mortuary with internment following at Graceland West Cemetery. There will be a visitation on Wednesday February 1, 2012 from 6 PM until 7:30 PM at the mortuary.
The family will be at the residence.
