Elmer June Valdez

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Elmer June Valdez of Simpsonville, SC on July 7, 2022 at the age of 81 years.
June will lovingly be remembered by her husband of 63 years, Willie; children; Cynthia Bryant, Sharon Laughter (Ricky), Guillermo A. Valdez, and Jackie Boone (John). She was blessed with 24 grand children and 16 great grand children.  June was predeceased by her parents, Aldon and Jessie Arrowood, Brothers, Charles, Lewis, Bobby, Don, Earl and missed dearly by her surviving brother, James and twin sister, Jean.
Born to Aldon and Jessie (Holloway) Arrowood, as a twin, she lived in Greenville most of her life where she was raised in a farming family. She met her husband at Donaldson Center where he was stationed as a firefighter in the US Air Force. June devoted her life to her family, helping her parents, caring for her children and working in the textile industry. June and Willie owned several businesses, before a change in career took her to BP Amoco where she retired as a Lab Technician. June was always helping others, never met a stranger and loved everyone she met. She was an excellent dancer and loved music. Words will never express how much June meant to so many and how much she was loved and will be missed. She is now resting in the arms of God and healed by His grace and mercy.
A graveside service will be held at Graceland Cemetery on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 1pm.
