A Life Well Lived of Fred C. Brewer
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Fred C. Brewer, who peacefully left this world Tuesday, June 18, 2024. A native of Greenville, SC, he was born May 18, 1932, to the late James C. and Lillian F. Brewer.
Fred was a loving partner to his deceased wife Ruth (Short) Brewer and a devoted father to his five children, two of which have predeceased him, Jimbo and Sharon Brewer. Surviving are his sons: Anthony C. Brewer (Rhonda), Barry F. Brewer, and Christopher A. Brewer (Patricia). He was also a proud grandfather to five: Michael Brewer, Rebecca Willis, Christopher Brewer, Sharon Reece, and Rachel Hooper; and the great-grandfather of nine, one of which is already in heaven with open arms.
Fred proudly served in the United States Airforce. After his service and throughout his life, he worked in textiles and later as a security officer. He was actively involved in the VFW Post #10330 organization.
Outside of his professional life, Fred enjoyed playing pool and hosting BBQ's for his friends and family at the VFW. His most favorite past time was eating breakfast almost every day at the Waffle House located 6105 White Horse Rd. You can walk in and ask for what Mr. Fred ate, and they will bring it right out to you. He will be remembered for his warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering dedication to those he loved.
Fred Brewer's legacy will live on through the memories he created with loved ones. Donations in his name may be made to VFW Post #10330, 885 Old Easley Hwy., Greenville, SC 29611.
