Furman "Coot" Posey 59 of Greenville passed away Tuesday March 26, 2019.  He was a son of the late Furman and Margaret (Owens) Posey. He grew up in Dunean and was a painter by trade all his life. He enjoyed fishing and playing golf. He loved to drink a "pork chop" after work as he would call a cold beer.

He is survived by one son; Travis Posey, one brother; Robbie Posey of Greenville, five sisters; Elaine Fowler of Pelzer, Becky Anders of Simpsonville, Betty Ann Bowman of Greenville, Tammy Upchurch of Pickens and Rita Milks of Atlanta Ga.

A celebration of "Coot's" life will be held Friday March 29, 2019 at The Graceland Mortuary with the family receiving friends from 2:00pm until 3:00pm then a funeral service will be held at 3:00pm.
