George E. Griffin, Sr., 88, husband of Erline Griffin, passed away on May 08, 2020, after a period of declining health. He was born September 09, 1931 to Charles M. Griffin and Jesse Hester Griffin. He retired from Bell South after 43 years of service. He was a member of Forestville Baptist Church and a life member of Sam Poe Masonic Lodge.

George is survived by his wife Erline Griffin; his children Eddie (Caroline), Charles (Patricia), Barry (Sylvia), and Diane Chappell (David); and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Charles Griffin, and sister Betty Hall.
