James "Jaymes" Earl Hardison of Joliet, Illinois passed away in his home at the age of 48. Jaymes was born June of 1968 in Greenville SC to Franklin Henry Hardison and Thelma Bagwell Hardison.
Jaymes loved to travel and spent time all over the United States making friends anywhere he went and while everywhere he went he made himself at home, in his heart his only true home was here in South Carolina where his father, mother, brother Cody, son Draven and nieces lived. Family was everything to Jaymes and time spent with them, especially his son Draven was the moments he treasured most. He daily told anyone that would listen about his son and how proud he was of the young man he had become. Draven was the light of his world and it was obvious.
Jaymes was a talented cosmetologist with happy clients to be found where ever he picked up his tools of the trade. He was an artist both with a pair of scissors and with a guitar. When Jaymes picked up his guitar or a pen to write the talent flowed freely. He was a gifted musician that loved to play his guitar with friends, family, or even strangers for anyone that was fortunate enough to be within earshot.
He was a firm Christian that loved the Lord and enjoyed being a part of many small community churches. While he seemed to find himself in the smaller churches he loved attending big Christian concerts and sharing the times with friends and family.
Jaymes had a vibrant personality and always had the ability to come up with the most outrageous plans and ideas, to get you to follow through with them, and to make you have a blast in the process. His amazing sense of humor was infectious and his larger than life personality made him who he was. These are the things that will be most missed and often remembered.
Jaymes Hardison is survived by his son Draven Jaymes Hardison, parents Franklin Hardison, Thelma Bagwell Hardison, sisters Thelma Josephine Hardison, Leigh Eleopoulos, brother Cody Hardison, nephews Lukus Hinojosa, Elias, Alexander, Nick, and Adonis Eleopoulos, nieces Josie Hinojosa, Mina Hardison, and Shana Gilstrap all of whom loved him dearly and will miss him. Jaymes was preceded in death by his grandparents, uncles, and aunts on both sides of his family as well as his nephew Riley Hardison.
Services for Jaymes will be officiated by Rev. Ted Gaines and held at The Graceland Mortuary Chapel, 4814 White Horse Road in Greenville South Carolina at 4pm on Friday April 21, 2017 with burial to follow at Graceland Cemetery-WEST.
