James Allen Hopper, 58, of Greenville passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018.  He was the loving husband of Barbara Turner Hopper for 28 years.  He was a son of the late Clarence Edward and Dorothy Anita Vandiver Hopper.  He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was a retired surveyor.

In addition to his wife, James is survived by one son, Jim Mulkey (Jill); three grandchildren: Alexandra Piasio (Jonathan), Jacob Mulkey, and Evan Mulkey; one brother, Lannie Hopper (Marion); two sisters, Donna Hopper and Faye Linder (Don), and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by one sister, Diana Millwood.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, July 16, 2018 in the chapel of the Graceland Mortuary located at 4814 White Horse Road in Greenville.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 until service time at the Graceland Mortuary.  Interment will follow services at the Graceland Cemetery West.
