James (Jim) William Tucker Jr., age 77, passed away on April 18, 2026, in Charlotte, North Carolina after a long, fought battle with cancer. He was born on April 27, 1948, in Greenville, South Carolina, the son of the late James William and Inez (Collins) Tucker.  He graduated from Easley High School and then earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Clemson University where he was a member of the Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity. After graduation, Jim was stationed at Travis Air Force Base in California while he served in the United States Air Force. 

He was known for his love of boating, and after retiring, he could most likely be found on his boat, Dixie Doodle. When not taking trips to Watch HIll or Block Island, he was most likely causing trouble with the rest of "G" Dock.

Jim is survived by his two sisters as well as his daughter Lori McRorie (Jason) of Charlotte, NC, his son James Alan Tucker of Avon, CT, and five grandchildren: Jacob Tucker, Emma Tucker, Tyler McRorie, Ava Tucker, and Natalie McRorie. 

He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
