James C. Turner
Greenville, SC
James C. Turner, 85 of Greenville passed away on September 28, 2009 at his home. He was born in 1924 and was the son of the late T.R. and Hazel F. Turner.
Mr. Turner was a World War II Veteran and a member of Battery B 456th Company and also served in the Korean War. He was also a lifelong member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sons: Dale and Sandra Turner of Simpsonville and Joe Turner of Florida; one daughter: Gail and Charles Shook of Greenville, SC and six grand children and twelve great grand children. He was predeceased by his wife, Martha S. Turner.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 in the chapel of Graceland Mortuary at 3:30pm. There will be a visitation at the funeral home prior to the service from 2:00pm until 3:30pm. Interment will follow in Graceland West Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Open Arms Hospice 1836 W. Georgia Rd. Simpsonville, SC 29680 or to the charity of ones choice.
The family will be at their respective homes.
