Janet was a daughter, wife, sister, mother, and grandmother who loved people as they were and she never met a stranger. Janet Cecilia Bagwell, 67, of Greenville, SC, passed away in her home on November 24, 2025.

She was born in Greenville, SC on January 8, 1958 to the late Herbert and Gwen Carroll. Janet attended Parker High School before attending cosmetology school. She went on to work at several different salons along her journey including owning her own salon cutting hair for over 50 years and it was always important to her because she wanted to ensure people could look and feel their best.

Janet met the love of her life, Wayne, while at Parker as they were both a part of the Parker High School Golden Regiment (Marching Band). He was the drum major and she was a majorette and they never looked back. Excited to start their new lives together, the two were married and just recently celebrated their 50th anniversary.

Janet and Wayne couldn't wait to start a family of their own and their son, Craig, became their whole world. Though she loved Craig, Janet found her true love as a grandmother. She treasured her time with her grandchildren and loved being their Nana, never failing to love them with her whole heart.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her her parents-in-law, and her brother-in-law, Jimmy. She is survived by her husband Wayne; her son Craig, his wife Angie, and their children Mia, Dylan, Luke, Jones, and Ryleigh; her brothers and their wives: Winfred "Chuck" and Shaaron, Wayne and Helen, and Dan and Mandy; her brothers-in-law and their wives: Mike and Patty, Bobby and Cindy, Ronnie, and Rex and Bonnie; along with many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly (Nancy, Jennifer, Seth, Gina, Lori, Taylor, Angie, Jamie, Christie, Keith, Scott, Caroline, Micah, Katie, and Christopher).

A funeral service to celebrate Janet's life will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, November 29, 2025 at Graceland Mortuary, 4814 White Horse Rd., Greenville, SC 29611. Her family will receive friends and loved ones an hour prior, beginning 1:00 PM. Committal and burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery West, located at the same address.
