Jeffrey Lynn Tipton, 66, passed away on October 1, 2026. Born on August 19, 1960, he will be remembered as a friendly and faithful man who truly never met a stranger. Wherever he went, he made friends with ease, leaving behind memories of kindness, warmth, and genuine connection.

Jeffrey attended Berea High School, where he played football. He carried that same spirit of enthusiasm throughout his life, taking joy in the things he loved most. He was a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the North Carolina Tar Heels, and he enjoyed fishing and antiques. His faith was also an important part of his life, and he loved his church deeply.  You could see his dedication to God as a member at Cold Springs Baptist Church.  Even while in North Carolina, he would attend his daughter’s church by livestream, a reflection of both his faithful heart and the love he held for his family and church community.

Above all, Jeffrey treasured his family. He is survived by his daughter, Ashley Shockley, and by Ashley and Scottie’s children, Reilynn and Karter, who brought joy to his life as his granddaughter and grandson. He is also survived by his parents, Linda and Keith. Each of them shared in the love, laughter, and presence that made Jeffrey so special, and his memory will remain close to their hearts.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kandi, and by Bingo, his beloved dog.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Georges Creek Baptist Church, 1991 Saluda Dam Rd, Easley, South Carolina 29640. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will take place afterward at 1:00 p.m. at Graceland Cemetery West, 4814 White Horse Road, Greenville, South Carolina 29611.

Jeffrey Lynn Tipton will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His faithful spirit, welcoming nature, and love for family, friends, and church will continue to be cherished in the lives of those he leaves behind.
