Jimmy Vernon "Slim" Ashworth 74, of Greenville passed away Saturday May 7, 2016. The son of the late Jesse Vernon and Ethel (Wooten) Ashworth. He was a member of City View 1st Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army veteran

He is survived by sisters; Betty ( Fred) Stapleton and Ruth (Otis) McKinnon. He was preceded in death by two brothers; Joe and Jack Ashworth, and a sister; Hazel (Mel) Waters.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday June 1, 2016 at 2:30pm at The Graceland Mortuary Chapel with visitation being held thirty minutes prior at 2:00pm.
