Joe Arthur Vaughn, of Woodruff, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on May 4, 1950, Joe lived a life rooted in faith, family, and the simple joys found in time spent with those he loved most.
Joe will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Patricia Vaughn, who stood faithfully by his side throughout the many seasons of life. He was a proud and loving father to Joseph Vaughn, Janie Marie Wall, and Mark Seawright, and found great joy in watching his family grow over the years.
He is also survived by his sister, Sarah Bellew.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Reggie Lee Cooley and Arthur B. Vaughn; and by his siblings, Oscar Vaughn, Steve Vaughn, Leathy Vaughn, Jackie Shelton, and Annie Mae, who have welcomed him into eternal rest.
Known for his quiet strength, warm heart, and steady presence, Joe treasured his role as a grandfather and great-grandfather. He leaves behind six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren who will carry forward his memory and the values he instilled. He will be remembered for his kindness, his wisdom, and the unwavering love he gave so freely to his family.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation arrangements are under the care of Graceland Mortuary. No formal services will be held at the funeral home. A celebration of Joe’s life will be held at a later date at the family’s church, where loved ones will gather to honor his life and legacy.
Though he will be deeply missed, Joe’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
