John Carl Brown, Sr., 72 of Greenville, SC passed away on Friday, February 22, 2013. He was born on November 23, 1940 in Greenville, South Carolina to Robert Clinton & Margie Lowrey Brown. John was an avid fan of fishing, boxing and motocycles. He was employed for over 35 years at Mitsubishi Polyester in Greer formerly Hoechst Celanese.

John is survived by his children; Beth Anders and her domestice partner Dawn Clark of Greenville, SC, J.C. Boswell of Virginia Beach, VA and R. Shannon Brown and his wife Vicky of Addis, LA, his grandchildren; Stephanie Anders, Jason Anders, Heather Day, Jade Brown, Taylor Brown, Shannon Brown, Jr., Taylor Stringfield, Trevor Pennington and Allen Hunt, 5 great grandchildren, his sisters Betty Barnett and Mary Cureton, his brother Clint Brown, also many nieces, nephews and close friends.

John is predeceased by his parents, his wife Maxine M. Brown and his brother Tommy Brown.
