John Joseph Pillaro, 79, of Travelers Rest passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017. He was a son of the late Jake and Eva Sanders Pillaro. He was a retired truck driver and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by two daughters, Melonie Richardson, and Tina Sheets; one brother, Phillip Pillaro; one sister, Johanna Falcone; seven grandchildren, Alyssa Denton, Braeden Sheets, Quentin Sheets, Tianna Pillaro, Tegan Pillaro, Kyle Richardson, Derick Richardson; one great grandchild, Lucas Denton. He was preceded in death by one son, John J. Pillaro, one stepson, Michael Wilson, and two brothers, Jake and Tony Pillaro.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 11am-12pm at The Graceland Mortuary. Funeral services will be held 1:00pm on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson with military honors. Interment will follow at M.J."Dolly" Cooper.
