Johnny Leon Gilstrap, 66, of Piedmont passed away on January 21, 2021 at home with his wife Loria by his side. He was born on April 15, 1954 to the late Joel Gilstrap and Francis Marie Evans in Asheville, North Carolina.

Johnny was a loving man and best friend to his wife Loria. They met in Greenville and got married. They have been together for over 43 years. He loved WWW, to travel, road trips, but most of all he loved his family. He was baptised of January 19, 2021. He attended Rockvale Baptist Church on Grove Rd. He had four cats: Scooter, Missy, Oreo, and Sylvester. He also claim the two cats that belonged to his caregiver Ralph: Peaches and Josie.

He is survived by his wife Loria, sister Francis Redding, brother Tommy Gilstrap, sister-in-law Rebecca Geddings(Joseph), brother-in-law Wayne Phillips, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Johnny is preceded in death by his parents Joel and Francis, as well as two brothers Darrell Gilstrap and Jimmy Gilstrap.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 27 from 11am-12pm with the funeral service to following in the Chapel of Graceland Mortuary.
