Joyce Clardy, 88, of Gray Court, SC, passed away peacefully Friday, November 1, 2024. She was born in Greenville, SC to the late Ellen Turner and James Carter Medlin.

Joyce loved drinking her coffee, tending her garden, reading books, and watching Westerns. Above all, spending time with her family was her greatest joy.

She is survived by her son, Bobby Clardy (Anita); daughter, Brenda Knight (Bill); grandchildren: Joann Davis (Jeff), Bobbie Jo Pace (Kevin), Jody Knight, Daniel Knight, Chrystal Wood (Scott), Randy Rhodes (Danae), and Amanda Knight; 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Jack Medlin; sisters, Dot Smith and Becky Gee; best friend, Joyce Hunt; and many extended family members, friends, and loved ones. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her daughters, Martha Ellen Clardy and Ann Clardy Stone; grandson, David Lee Stone; one great-grandchild; and siblings: Betty Bishop, Buddy Medlin, Roger Medlin, Terry Medlin, Johnny Medlin, Gary Medlin, and Lynn Hood.

Throughout her life Joyce touched many lives. She will be greatly missed and dearly remembered.

A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held at Graceland Cemetery West, 4814 White Horse Rd., Greenville, SC 29611. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
