Judith A. "Judie" Long, 74, of Lyman, went home to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, May 4, 2018 after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis. She was born in Reading, Pennsylvania to the late Alfred Ramm and Madeline Melcher Ramm.

She is survived by two daughters: Amye Ranck (Bill) and Beth Straitiff (David); the father of her children, Don Long, one sister, Carole Seamon (Rick), and dear friend, Kathy Ranck. She is also survived by all five of her grandchildren: Ashleigh Wark (Alex), Kimberlee Ranck, Kaitlynn Ranck, Kaylee Yasmin Straitiff, and Christopher Straitiff as well as her "adopted" granddaughter, Emily Hildago. She is preceded in death by one brother, Karl Ramm, and one sister, Jayne Ernst.

Judie worked for the City of Greenville where she managed the records department from 1978 until she retired in 2014. She was actively involved in her community and church. She spent countless hours volunteering as youth worker and director of Girl Scouts, Awana, Pioneer Clubs, and post-retirement as a teachers' aide and "Nana" to many friends at Westgate Christian School.

From 1981 to 2014 she was a member and officer of the Greenville Metro Toastmasters International Club.  She sure did love to talk!

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Faith Baptist Church of Reidville located at 1940 Duncan Reidville Road, Duncan, SC from 2:00 - 3:30 with a Celebration of Life Service at 3:30. Burial will be at Westwood Memorial Gardens in Moore immediately following the service.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Westgate Christian School Bus Fund, 1990 Old Reidville Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301 or Faith Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 339, Reidville, SC, 29375.
