Kenneth Marlor Gilbert, 80, of Greenville, The loving husband of Mary Jean (Pirkle) Gilbert for 54 years, died Saturday August 6, 2016. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late William and Lila (Poore) Gilbert.

Mr. Gilbert served his Country in the U.S.Army and Pridefully re-enlisted. He attended Emmanuel Baptist Church and he worked 46 years at Dunean Mill. His family always came first in h is life, putting them before himself.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by a son; Danny Kevan Gilbert, Sr. and his wife Lisa Michelle, a daughter; Sandi Gilbert Crisp and her husband Shawn, five grandchildren; Danny Kevan Gilbert, Jr., William Preston Crisp, Samantha Jean Gilbert, Sarah Nichole Gilbert and Hunter Jacob Crisp. In addition to his parents, Mr. Gilbert is preceded in death by a brother; Harold Gilbert.

Committal with Military Honors will be held at 11:00am Friday August 12, 2016 at M.J."Dolly" cooper Veteran cemetery 140 Inway Drive Anderson, SC 29621
