Carla Lane Powers, 57, of Taylors passed away Monday, May 15, 2017. She was a daughter of Thelma Gay Edmond and the late Jewel Edmond. She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend to all who knew her. She always put others before herself and was a lover of animals and nature.

In addition to her mother she is survived by a son, Bobby Powers; two brothers, two sisters, many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Friday, May 19, 2017 in the chapel of The Graceland Mortuary. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until service at The Graceland Mortuary. Interment will follow at The American Spinning Cemetery next to Wrenn Memorial Baptist Church, 19 Sidney Street, Greenville, SC.
