Linda Sue Barrett, age 79, of Piedmont, SC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 23, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on November 18, 1945 in Ashland, KY, and passed away peacefully at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville, SC after losing the battle of ongoing illnesses.

Mrs. Barrett is survived by a loving husband of 40 years, David Barrett; two siblings, Joe Kitts (Susie), and Ann Lark (Wayne); three children: Gene Lambert (Cathy), James Capuano, and Jennifer Burgess (Jimbo); five grandchildren: Steven Lambert, Nicole Burgess, Elizabeth Lambert, Sydney Redden, and Jonathan Redden; and three great-grandchildren: Bailey, Arielle, and Claire. Spending time with her grandchildren always brought her joy and her grandchildren were delighted to spend time with her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Helen Lafolette (Walt) and Larry Amaral; and daughter, Sue Ann Owens.

Mrs. Barrett always wielded a crocheting needle and when one visited, they never left empty handed - all visitors were a recipient of her handmade afghan blankets. She now joins her loyal Boston Terrier, Henry, at the castle in the sky. Linda was immensely loved and will be dearly missed.

A funeral service to celebrate her life and honor her memory will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 28, 2025 in the mausoleum chapel at Graceland East Memorial Park, 2206 Woodruff Rd., Simpsonville, SC 29681. The family will receive friends and loved ones an hour prior, beginning 12:00 PM.
