Lois Ann Parker of Greenville, SC, age 75, passed away on September 7, 2021 at St.
Francis Downtown Hospital.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Gregory Scott Parker and her three
brothers, Phillip Milone of PA, Anthony Milone of FL, and Nicholas Milone of OH.
Lois is preceded in death by her father, Dominic Milone and mother, Concetta "Connie"
Cuiffi Milone.
Lois was born on June 10, 1946 in Canonsburg, PA and baptized at St. Patrick Church
on July 28, 1946. She graduated from Canon-McMillan High School in 1965. After
graduating she worked at Woolworth for ten years.
She metGreg early in 1974 and they married on October12 ofthatsame year.Lois
soon started using herfloralarranging talentto work ata flowershop.Afterseveral
years she switched to working for the United States Postal Service. She and Greg
moved to Washington, PA where she continued working for USPS as a manager. She
spent many a cold night on the loading dock directing the trucks.
In Washington Greg and Lois joined the North Franklin Township Volunteer Fire
Company. Lois was highly active as a fundraising and operations volunteer and after
20 years was awarded lifetime membership.
Lois putin 28 years with the USPS,and then she and Greg moved to Greenville,SC.
They continued their volunteer work as entertainment committee chairs for their HOA.
Lois also was on the entertainment committee for the OLLI program at Furman
University. She and Greg led water aerobics for OLLI for 5 years.
Lois was highly organized and creative.She enjoyed making baskets,cooking,
extensive travel, the Greenville Drive, walking her dear dog Abbey, theater, laughing
with friends and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Lois had a giving heart and
distributing her homemade pizzelles was her way of saying thanks.
She was a member at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Travelers Rest, SC which she
attended for the past 10 years.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 on Sunday September 26, 2021 at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 405 Trailblazer Dr, Travelers Rest, SC. In lieu of flowers, donations can bemade to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (gi
