Lucy Elizabeth Garrett Davis was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 9, 2017. There are no words to adequately describe her lifetime of love and devotion to her family. Her unfailing kindness and caring will never be forgotten by those she leaves behind.

Lucy was born to the late Luther Earl and Ruth Beatrice Davis Garrett in Greenville, South Carolina. She was a graduate of Carolina High School in Greenville, SC and was a secretary and homemaker. She married the love of her life, Henry Hoyle Davis, on April 15, 1967 and was by his side for more than 50 years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Brian Davis, Cathy Davis Brewton (Brad), Christopher Davis (Chastity); her seven grandchildren: Donovan Davis, Cameron Davis, Andrew Brewton, Carter Brewton, Carrie Davis, Christopher Davis, and Caleb Davis. She loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren.

She also leaves behind three brothers and two sisters: Luther Earl Garrett, Jr., Bobby Garrett, Carrol Garrett, Betty Foster, and Brenda Williams and their spouses and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at The Graceland Mortuary, 4814 White Horse Road, Greenville, SC with visitation Thursday October 12, 2017 from 12-2pm with service to follow at 2pm . She will be laid to rest at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery at 3450 Table Rock Road, Pickens, SC immediately following the service. The family is at the home.
