Lula "Ann" Smith Owens, 79, was called home on Friday, January 22nd, 2021. She was born on May 9th, 1941 in Greenville, South Carolina to the late Perry Christopher Smith and the late Lula Ryan Batson.

Ann graduated from Paris High School in 1960 and soon after met the love of her life, the late Charles Floyd Owens, in 1962. They were happily married for 44 wonderful years. Their loving marriage welcomed two sons, Jason and Mark, whom they both loved dearly. Ann will be remembered for being an amazing mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She loved her family deeply and it showed every time she was around them. She loved flowers and had a soft spot in her heart for animals. Ann worked as a secretary for 10 years and was a Sunday school teacher for 25 years at Agnew Road Church of God, Agnew Road Baptist Church, and Unity Baptist Church. She was a warm, loving woman who will be missed by everyone who was touched by her light.

Left to celebrate Ann's memory and carry on her legacy are her sons: Mark Owens (Deanne), and Jason Owens (Denese); her grandchildren: Alley Owens, Kirsten Owens, Megan Ronk, and Tyler Ronk; special family members: Roddy and Faye McFalls; loving neighbors: Chris and Christina Bowen; and wonderful caretaker: Malynda Ware from Upstate Home Health.

Ann has been gloriously reunited with her husband, Charles Floyd Owens, her father, Perry C. Smith, and her mother, Lula Batson Smith.

Visitation for Ann will be on Wednesday, January 27th, 2021 from 6:00-8:00pm. Service will be held in the chapel at Graceland Mortuary on Thursday, January 28th, 2021 at 9:45am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
