Margaret "Peg" Stempen, age 93, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at The Gables on Pelham.

A native of Philadelphia, PA, Peg was the daughter of the late Louis and Margaret Hamilton McGee. She was predeceased by Bill, her husband of 34 years.

Peg was a loving wife, homemaker, and mother. She was known for her wry sense of humor and wearing her crazy-saying T-Shirts. She was full of spirit, fun and was quite a character. She loved music and sang in her church choir in Philadelphia for many years. She also loved her crossword puzzles and playing Scrabble.Peg is survived by her daughters, Debbie Arbuckle of Abington, PA and Lisa Labas of Simpsonville, SC; granddaughter, Jennifer Cashman and her husband Sean Cashman of Willow Grove, PA; and two beautiful great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Miles Cashman.

The family would like to express their gratitude to The Gables on Pelham for taking care of Mom for the past eight years. They would also like to thank Providence Care Hospice for their loving care and kindness.
