Mary "Doris" Elizabeth Hood Greer
Greenville, SC
Mary "Doris" Elizabeth Hood Greer, 80, of 608 Roe Rd. passed away on February 4, 2010 at McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville.
Mrs. Greer was born in Greenville, SC and she was the daughter of the late Oscar Herman and Nora Olivia Vaughn Hood. She was also the wife of the late James Cecil Greer.
She was a member of Siloam Baptist Church and made a living as a seamstress before retiring.
Mrs. Greer is survived by a son: J.C. (Barbara) Greer of Greenville; grandchildren: Christy Greer and Brent (Lisa) Greer; great grandchildren: Emilie and Jackson Greer.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her siblings: Velma Simms, Essie Hood, Mildred Thomas, Walter Hood, J.D. Hood, and Leonard Hood.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday February 7, 2010 at 3pm in the chapel of Graceland Mortuary. There will be a visitation prior to the service from 2pm until 2:45pm at the mortuary. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery West.
The family will be at 608 Roe Rd.
