Mary Elizabeth Manley Bennett, 88, of Greenville, went home to her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 04, 2020. She was born on April 14, 1932 to the late Buster J. Manley and Nellie L. Hughes.

Mary was married to her husband James for 54 years and they had two wonderful children. She was well known for her thoughtfulness and caring spirit. She loved to send people cards for just about any occasion and had an impeccable mind that could recall dates and events at the drop of a hat. She loved to watch Channel 16 so she could listen to gospel music and quartet singing. She was a long time member of Tremont Church of God. Mary attend the golden gems suppers at Tremont Church of God each month for years.

She is survived by her son Delbert Wayne Bennett, daughter Janice Lynn Elrod, brothers Richard Earl Manley and Ronnie Jerry Manley, sister Ethel Manley Maze (Rudolph), grandson Zachary Burns, and great grandson Jacob Stepp.

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband James Albert Bennett, grandson William Hawkins II, daughter-in-law Sandra Bennett, and sister-in-law Ruby Manley.

A visitation will be held on Monday, August 10, 2020 from 10am-12pm, with the funeral to follow in the Chapel of Graceland Mortuary, with Reverend Bobby Johnson of Mauldin Church of God leading the service.

The family will be receiving friends at the daughters' residence.

In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital.
