Obituary
Pauline (Paula) Lucille Swigart Krause died March 23, 2016 in Anderson, S.C. After many years as a resident of Lancaster and Lititz, PA, she and her husband Andy retired to Florida and lastly to Anderson, SC to be near the home of their daughter, Kate.
Paula was born April 3, 1920 in Towner, CO, the only daughter of Paul J. Swigart and Lucille Summerville Swigart. She was a graduate of Alexandria High School, Alexandria, PA and attended Park College, Parkville, MO and Juniata College, Huntingdon, PA.
On September 21, 1940 she married Andrew Glonninger Krause of Lebanon, PA and they celebrated 75 years of marriage before his death on November 3, 2015.
Creative dance, square dancing, synchronized swimming, tennis, golf, bridge and travel were among her many interests and pursuits. She was also a member and past president of The Towne Club of Lancaster, Media Heights Golf Club, a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church and the Christian Science Church.
She is survived by sons Andrew S. (Nancy) Krause, Thomas J. (Carol) Krause, and a daughter Katharine (Harry) Diamant, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
