Peggy Jean Anthony, born March 3, 1952, passed away May 27, 2024. A native of Pickens, SC, she was the daughter of the William Ralph Anthony and Opal J. Looper; sister of Debora Sue Anthony; and mother of Michelle Barker and Michael Barker.

Peggy was pre-deceased by her daughter and both parents, and is survived by her sister and her son.

Military spouse, and military mother, programmer and analyst. This stubborn woman of a titanium backbone faced life with unflinching strength, unwavering dedication to those around her while leavening that strength with compassion wisdom and humor. Daughter, mother, sister, coworker, and friend, she will be missed by all who ever came in contact with her.
