Rachel Rheannon Morton, born on March 13, 1999, left this world on June 8, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of boundless energy, innate creativity, and a heart that loved fiercely and openly. Her journey was marked by a vibrant spirit that never ceased to inspire those fortunate enough to know her.

Rachel was a radiant soul whose talents shone brightly in many arenas. She was blessed with perfect pitch, gracing the world with her beautiful singing voice. Her unique gift extended to voice-overs for pets, a testament to her deep affection for all animals. Beyond her artistic gifts, Rachel’s culinary skills were remarkable; a great cook who knew how to blend flavors and throw ingredients together with ease, she delighted in spicy foods and pickled treasures, and held a special fondness for Chick-fil-A, savoring every meal with joy and zest.

Her educational path saw her growing from a young cheerleader enthusiast at East Lee Christian School to an engaged student at Easley High School, culminating in further studies at Tri-County Tech where she pursued general studies. School life was filled with memories, such as her middle school days immersed in the world of One Direction—her excitement contagious as she and her friends shared an obsession with the band, each possession proudly adorned with their favorite boy band.

Rachel’s personality was a captivating blend of energetic eagerness and unwavering determination. High-strung and always ready to embark on new endeavors, when she set her mind to something, nothing could deter her. She possessed a sharp balance of standing her ground firmly while remaining open and accepting of others, never judgmental. Her artistic expression was anything but traditional, exploring abstract forms with a talent that touched those who viewed her creations. She wrote poetry and songs, drew and crafted, particularly enjoying jewelry collection and creation, all reflections of her unique perspective and creative heart.

She was someone who was never idle nor bored, embodying a porcupine’s protective spirit and fierce independence yet offering warmth and connection to those she loved. Friends and family recall moments with affectionate humor and tenderness—whether introducing her beloved “uncle Piedmont” Tim Noris to new acquaintances or simply sharing in the daily simple joys of life together.

Rachel’s circle of love extended deeply into her family and friendships. She shared her life with her boyfriend, Gideon Rinehardt, and was supported by close friends Angel Eckard and Brittney Overmoyer. She leaves behind her siblings Christopher, Elizabeth, Alyssa McAler, and Heather Falls.  Her extended family, a steady source of love and memories, includes cousins Nikki Bowdin, Riley Eckard, Kayla Fulmer, and Amanda Morton and uncles Ronnie Stansell, Tim Noris, Steven Edwards Phillips, Jeff Phillips, Jesse Hill, with aunts Anita Holloway (Louis) and Diane Morris. Their presence was a cherished part of Rachel’s life tapestry.

Her life was also touched by the memories of those who have passed before her: uncles Paul Morris, Tony Morton, Richard Gilliand, Robin Gilliand; aunts Joan Gilliand and Betty Stansell; grandmother Sue Williams; cousin Raven Stansell; and grandparents Molly and Donald Morton, Steven and Wanda Phillips, as well as her mother Lisa McAler and Donald Scott. These relationships echo through her story, grounding her legacy in a lineage of love and family.

Rachel Rheannon Morton’s story is one of a passionate, talented, and spirited young woman who brought vibrancy into every space she entered. She leaves behind a world better for her presence—a symphony of voices, colors, flavors, and laughter that will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew her. Her memory is a beacon of strength, kindness, and creative fire, lighting the way for all who carry her spirit forward.
