Ruby Barton, 71, entered her Heavenly home on Saturday, February 20th, 2021. She was born on May 20th, 1949 to the late Louis Wilburn Ivey and the late Elizabeth Fern Firabend.

Ruby was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She married the love of her life, the late Willard Bruce Barton, Sr., in 1967. They shared over 39 years together until he passed in 2006 and their love created a beautiful family. Ruby was a member of Woodside Baptist Church and sang in the choir. If those church doors were open, you best believe that Ruby was there ready for worship and fellowship with her church family. She was deeply devoted to her family, church, and school. Church will not be the same without her sweet smile and beautiful voice. Ruby worked with the children's department and will be remembered as the best softball scorekeeper that Woodside ever had. Ruby touched so many lives with her loving spirit and unshakable faith. She was a radiant light that will be missed by so many.

Ruby's memory will be cherished by her children: Willard Bruce Barton, Jr. and Elizabeth Barton Hawkins (Tony); her grandchildren: Alyssa Kaye Speicher (Justin) and Jeffery Lewis Monroe (Danielle); her great grandchildren: Isabella Grace Monroe, Emilie Grace Speicher, and Summer Taytum Speicher; her sister, Ruth Ivey; and so many beloved members of her church family.

Ruby is now walking the streets of gold beside her husband, Willard Bruce Barton, Sr.; her parents, Louis Ivey and Elizabeth Firabend; her brother, Frank Ivey; and her sister, Alice Petersen.

A Graveside service is planned for Wednesday, February 24th, 2021 at 3:00pm at Graceland Cemetery-WEST.

A Memorial service will be held on March 6 at 1pm at Woodside Baptist Church.
