Vietta R. Sheriff, 97, of Powdersville passed away on Thursday, April 09, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family.She was born November 09, 1922 to the late Earle Roper and Effie Carver.

Vietta loved to spend time with her family, whom she always put first. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, making porcelain dolls, and working in the yard. She was a caring person, always helping others.

She is survived by two children Linda Sheriff and Michael Sheriff (Risé), six grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Vietta is preceded in death by her husband Ralph J. Sheriff, Sr. and two sons Ralph J. Sheriff, Jr. and Jimmy R. Sheriff.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 13, 2020 at 11:00 am at Graceland Cemetery-WEST. Pastor Dr. David Gallamore, of Rock Springs Baptist Church, will be leading the service.
