William Jerry Blakely, 71, of Greenville, went home to be with the Lord Sunday April 17, 2016. He was the husband of the late Peggy Whitt-Blakely. He was also a son of Novella Blakely and the late Jack Blakely. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Tamela Graves (Jack) of Piedmont and two sons; Gary Blakely (Lynn) of Honea Path and Kenneth (Teena) of Anderson. Survivors also include a sister, Debbie Johnson, a brother, Jack Blakely, seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. In addition to his father, Mr. Blakely was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Blakely. He leaves behind several special loved ones in Newport, Tennessee and will be missed by many. Visitation will be held from 12-1pm Friday, April 22, 2016 at The Graceland Mortuary, 4814 White Horse Road, Greenville, SC followed by a service of remembrance at 1:00pm in the chapel at The Graceland Mortuary.
