Obituary

Zenobia Hanks McMakin, beloved wife of Johnny Belton McMakin, passed away next. January 10, 2021. Born to the late John Franklin Hanks, Sr. and Nellie J. Hanks in Laurens, South Carolina, but lived most of her life in Greenville, South Carolina.  For the last 3 years, she lived with Joe and Kimberly Miller and their family, who cared for her with loving and compassionate care as her health failed rapidly.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Truman Hanks, Kenneth Hanks, and John Franklin Hanks, Jr.; sisters Hazel Hanks, Gladys Barnes and Mary Edge; two spouses, Clarence Raymond Bennett and Glenn Taylor; one son, Clarence Randall Bennett; and one great grandson, Jonathon Kegan Bennett.
In addition to her husband, Johnny Belton McMakin, she is survived by two brothers James Allen (Mary) Hanks and Richard Paul (Lucretia) Hanks; one sister, Nancy (Lamar) Beal;one sister-in-law Loretta Hanks; one son, Roger Dale (Cheryl) Bennett; one Daughter-in-law Linda Bennett grandchildren, Tina (Danny) Fulbright, Kimberly (Joe) Miller, Crystal Bennett, Raymond Dale (Melinda) Bennett and Roger Craig (Bridget) Bennett; great grandchildren Hudson Bennett, Emily Bennett, Hayley Bennett,Haleigh Taylor, Tyler Miller, Aaron Miller and Ethan Miller; and one great great granddaughter, Grace Miller.
Zenobia served her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, holding many offices through His church over seventy years and lived a Godly life before all she met.

Visitation will be held at Graceland West at 12pm on January 20, 2021 with the service at 1pm.  Burial will be held at Graceland West Cemetery.
